Silks & Satins 5K
The Jeff Clark Memorial Silks & Satins is a fast, flat 5K held on September 5, 2026 in Saratoga Springs, New York. The start and finish are located near the Oklahoma training track, close to the Fasig-Tipton auction house at 153 George Street. The course weaves through the East Side residential neighborhood and runs near several horse racing facilities. The course is not USATF certified.
This event features a team competition called Run Your Colors that ranks teams by number of registrants; the team with the most members receives bragging rights and a $250 donation to a charity of the team’s choice. Individual awards include medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the Open and Masters divisions, plus 1st through 3rd in five year age groups.
Race proceeds benefit Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, a nonprofit that supports second careers for retired racehorses and offers equine assisted therapeutic programming. Event organizers also distribute a limited number of complimentary admissions and museum passes at packet pick-up: the first 650 bib pick-ups receive a Saratoga Race Course general admission ticket for the 2025 Summer Meet (with specific date exceptions), and up to 800 free passes to the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame are available at packet pick-up.
