Silks & Satins 5K
The Jeff Clark Memorial Silks & Satins 5K is scheduled for September 5, 2026 in Saratoga Springs, New York near the Fasig-Tipton auction house at 153 George Street. New in 2026 the race is set on the last Saturday of Saratoga’s thoroughbred horse racing season.
The course is described as fast and flat with the start and finish located near the Oklahoma training track. The route progresses through the East Side residential neighborhood and passes by nearby horse racing facilities. Note that this course is not USATF certified.
Packet pick-up is listed for July 11 outside the Fasig-Tipton auction house beginning at 6:00 a.m. A limited quantity of complimentary general admission tickets to Saratoga Race Course and free admission passes to the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame are distributed at packet pick-up according to the event terms.
Awards include medals for first through third place in the Open and Masters categories and first through third place age group awards in five year increments. Volunteers are requested for course marshal duties, packet pick-up staffing, and finish line water distribution.
Race proceeds benefit Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, a 501c3 nonprofit that supports second careers for retired racehorses and provides equine-assisted therapeutic programming. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
