Event Overview
The SIC Mile and 2 Mile Run or Walk is a multi-discipline event held at the CSU Pueblo Stadium on Troy Ave in Pueblo, Colorado. This athletic gathering takes place on a track and features different movement requirements for each segment of the course. The event serves as a fundraiser benefiting HYROX, Animal Welfare, and Addict2Athlete.
SIC Mile Details
The SIC Mile consists of four laps around the track, totaling 1 mile. Participants have the option to complete the event individually or as a team of up to four people. In team participation, teammates must take turns during each lap, allowing for frequent tagging between partners. Each lap requires a specific movement pattern:
- Lap 1 involves 400 meters of burpee broad jumps.
- Lap 2 consists of 400 meters of walking lunges.
- Lap 3 requires 400 meters of bear crawls.
- Lap 4 is a 400 meter run to the finish line.
2 Mile Division
In addition to the specific movement mile, the event includes a division for a 2 mile run or walk. Participants in this category cover the distance on the stadium grounds.
Community Involvement
The event encourages participants to contribute to local animal welfare by bringing bags of dog or cat food. These donations are collected to support SoCo Spay and Neuter. The registration process remains open until the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
