Shropshire Historic 50K
The Shropshire Historic 50K is the third race in the Shropshire 50 series. The route starts in Telford Town Park and finishes at Shrewsbury Quarry, and it passes a number of recognised historical sites across Shropshire.
The course runs past The Silkin Way, Ironbridge, Buildwas Abbey, Much Wenlock Abbey, Wroxeter Roman City, Attingham Park, Shrewsbury Abbey and Shrewsbury Castle. The start line is located next to the visitors centre in Telford Town Park and the finish line is next to the Hercules statue at Shrewsbury Quarry, SY1 1JA.
Included services for participants are professional chip timing, five nutrition stations on the route, officially measured routes, and free photo downloads. A technical running T-shirt is offered at additional cost. A special segment medal is available; completing the Church Stretton 50K and the Shrewsbury 50K as well links the medals into a series award.
