Believe! McKinney 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The event on Saturday, November 28, 2026 takes place at Dr. Glenn Mitchell Memorial Park and runs through Historic Downtown McKinney, starting from the downtown square. The program includes a community 5K, a 1 mile fun run, and a kids' Santa Chase 100 yard dash. A wheelchair division is listed for the 5K.

The 5K is chip timed using disposable chips attached to the bib; the fun run is not timed. Participants must wear their bib visibly on the front for timing. The event is insured and sanctioned by USA Track & Field. Safety rules state the minimum age for the 5K is 6; there is no minimum age for the 1 mile. Pets are not allowed on the 5K course but are permitted in the 1 mile fun run. Strollers are allowed when integrated safely; scooters, roller or inline skates, bikes, and e-bikes are not permitted in sanctioned events.
Awards are given for overall and masters categories and for top age-group finishers in the 5K. The event offers t-shirts and finisher medals. Playtri provides training plans for the 5K and reserves the right to modify the course or cancel for safety or weather. Entry fees are non-refundable under standard event policy.
