Believe! McKinney 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Believe! McKinney event on Saturday, November 28, 2026 takes place at Dr. Glenn Mitchell Memorial Park and uses a route through Historic Downtown McKinney, including the downtown square. The event supports youth programs, with proceeds benefiting local organizations such as Holy Family School and Alliance of Elite Youth Leadership.

The 5K is a chip timed event using disposable timing chips attached to race bibs; bibs must be worn visibly on the front. The 5K includes a wheelchair division. The 1 Mile Fun Run is not timed. The Santa Chase is a short dash for children; finishers receive candy canes. The event is insured and sanctioned by USA Track and Field and follows related safety rules.
Race policies specify that pets are not allowed on the 5K course but are permitted in the 1 Mile event. Strollers may be integrated safely into the events. The minimum age for the 5K is six years; there is no minimum age for the 1 Mile. Awards are planned for overall and masters winners and for age group top finishers in the 5K. Event shirts and finisher medals are provided. Registration grants the organizer permission to use race photography and to send event-related communications.
