Believe! McKinney 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
Believe! McKinney is a community run and fun run held on Saturday, November 28, 2026, in Historic Downtown McKinney and at Dr. Glenn Mitchell Memorial Park. The course starts from the downtown square and runs through downtown McKinney. The event is insured and sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
The event program includes a family Santa Chase 100 yard dash for children, a one mile fun run, and a chip timed 5K. The 5K requires each participant to wear a timing chip, issued on a disposable chip attached to the race bib at packet pickup. The fun run is not timed.
Basic participation rules and services noted by the organizer:
- Pets are not allowed on the 5K course; pets are allowed in the 1 mile fun run.
- Strollers may be safely integrated into the events.
- Minimum age for the 5K is six years; there is no minimum age for the 1 mile fun run.
- Children and adults may not use scooters, roller or inline skates, bicycles, or e-bikes in sanctioned events.
- The organizer may change the course for safety or weather reasons.
Awards will recognize overall and masters winners and top age group finishers in the 5K. Event shirts and finisher medals are provided. Proceeds benefit Holy Family School.
