The Ship Bottom Sprint for Life is a community running and walking event held in Ship Bottom, New Jersey, with activities taking place at the municipal ramp on West 10th Street. The event program for 2026 includes the following events:
- 5k Run
- Kidz Mini Sprint (open to ages 12 and under)
- Fitness Walk
Established in 2001 in memory of a local resident who died of leukemia, the Sprint has donated more than $150,000 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society over its history. The event later changed its primary beneficiary to a local cancer foundation, David’s Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation. A portion of funds raised in 2026 will be donated in memory of two honored community members, with remaining proceeds supporting the local foundation’s work assisting families affected by cancer.
Practical information published for the event includes on-site registration and packet pick-up at the 10th Street boat ramp, a course map updated for 2026 available as a PDF, and results posted online after the event. Entry fees published for 2026 are listed by event and age group; the Kidz Mini Sprint fee includes a short-sleeve t-shirt and medal.
