Event Overview
The Shifnal 10k returns for its third year in 2026. This road race takes place on a closed road course, providing a dedicated environment for all participants. The event is scheduled for May 10th and is based in the Shifnal town centre.
Course Details
The race follows a route that begins and ends in the town centre. From the start, the course heads out toward the village of Kemberton. The path then winds back along quiet country lanes, leading toward the finish line back in the centre of town. The total distance for the event is 10 km.
Participation and Prizes
The event has a maximum capacity of 350 participants. Runners must be at least 15 years old to enter. There are several categories for recognition, with prizes awarded to the first, second, and third place male and female finishers. Additionally, prizes are available for the top finishers in age groups 40, 50, and 60, as well as a specific prize for local Shifnal residents.
Amenities and Merchandise
All individuals who complete the course will receive a bespoke finisher medal and a goody bag. Technical t-shirts are available for purchase alongside the race entry. Volunteers who assist with the event are provided with full training and are credited with a free entry into a future race organized by the timing company.
