Shetland Novice Triathlon
The Shetland Novice Triathlon takes place on 28 Jun 2026 and is organised by Shetland Triathlon Club at North Mainland Leisure Centre in Brae, Shetland.
Event distances include:
- 400 m pool swim in a 16 m pool
- 10 km cycle heading north 5 km then return via Scatsta Airport Junction
- 2.5 km run out and back through downtown Brae, turning at Busta Junction
Competitors must be 15 or over on 31 December 2026. Parental consent is required for competitors aged 15 to 17 years.
Entry fees are stated as £10 for Shetland Triathlon Club members and £15 for non-members for individual entries. Team entry is £15. Participants who are not members of Triathlon Scotland or another Home Nations triathlon federation must purchase a race pass; race pass costs are £2 plus £0.08 service charge for those aged 24 and under, and £8 plus £0.32 service charge otherwise.
All bikes must be roadworthy and helmets are compulsory. The organiser is Shetland Triathlon Club and the event uses the facilities and nearby roads around North Mainland Leisure Centre. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
