Sheltair Run The Runway 5K
Sheltair and Ocala International Airport present the 4th Annual Sheltair Run the Runway 5K on March 21, 2026, at Ocala International Airport, 1200 SW 60th Avenue, Ocala FL 34474. The event benefits local community organizations and this year supports the Horse Protection Association of Florida, an organization dedicated to equine rescue, rehabilitation, education, and adoption.
The event uses an airport runway as the setting for a measured 5 kilometer course and highlights community engagement and health promotion while showcasing the airport as a community asset. Official chip timing is provided by MCM Timing and Results LLC and finishers will receive chip timed results. Early registrants receive an event T shirt and finisher medals will be awarded to top finishers; overall male and overall female awards are also planned. Awards are capped to allow more proceeds to be directed to the event charity.
Pre race packet pickup will be available at the Ocala International Airport address on the day before the race and on race day. Sponsorship opportunities are available through the organizer.
