Shelli Huether Veterans Day Honor Run
The Shelli Huether Veterans Day Honor Run is a multi-format event at Granny White Park in Brentwood, TN. It features in-person and virtual options with timed results and fundraising for two charities. All funds raised in excess of expenses will be divided equally between the National Guard Association of Tennessee and Lantern Lane Farm Counseling Center. The organizing body is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) and donations are tax deductible.

- 5K Run or Walk
- 5K Ruck
- 10K Run or Walk
- 10K Ruck
- 8 hour Run or Walk
- 8 hour Ruck
- 4 person relay teams for the 8 hour race
The course is a paved 0.8 mile loop that circles Granny White Park. The 5K is four loops (noted as 3.2 miles) and the 10K is eight loops (noted as 6.4 miles). The loop includes a few gentle hills. Chip timing is used for the races.
Ruck participants must bring a rucksack or weighted vest. Participants 151 pounds or greater need a 20 pound pack or vest; participants 150 pounds or less need a 10 pound pack or vest. Packs and participants will be weighed at check-in and finish.
One aid station provides water and Gatorade. A nurse and medical supplies will be on site. Lunch is provided for 8 hour participants. Dogs are allowed and a playground is available in the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
