Sheboygan YMCA Freedom Run/Walk, July 4, 2026
The event takes place at the Sheboygan YMCA, 812 Broughton Drive, Sheboygan, WI. Proceeds benefit the Sheboygan County YMCA Annual Support Campaign, which provides financial assistance for memberships and camperships for at-risk and disadvantaged children, teens, and families.
Distances offered:
- 2 Miles walk and run
- 5 Miles run
- Virtual 2 or 5 Miles run or walk
The course is an out-and-back that begins and ends at the Sheboygan Y. Showers are available at the facility for entrants after the event; participants are asked to secure and remove belongings by 11:00am.
Awards will be presented to the overall female and male finishers in the 2-mile and 5-mile run races, plus first through third place in each age group. All participants age 12 and under will receive a participation ribbon.
Registration opens February 1 and closes June 1; the registration fee is $20.00. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after June 19. Packet pickup is at the Sheboygan YMCA on Friday, July 3 from 11:00 to 6:00pm.
The virtual entry does not include a timing chip. Leashed friendly dogs are allowed; dogs should start behind runners and in front of walkers. Waste bags will be provided at the start and the one-mile turnaround. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
