Old Plank Sunset Half : overview
The Old Plank Sunset Half is a point-to-point half marathon held on August 8, 2026, in Kohler, Wisconsin. The course covers 13.1 miles along the Old Plank Road Trail, largely on paved blacktop, following Hwy 23 from the Quit Qui Oc Sports Complex in Plymouth to the Kohler Sports Core. The route passes through neighborhoods and alongside the Woodlake Market area. The finish area includes post-race celebrations with music, food, drinks, medals, and age group awards.
Logistics and race services
Packet pickup is handled at the Sports Core in Kohler (100 Willow Creek Dr). Pre-race bus transport is provided to the start line; parking is limited at the start and is available near the Sports Core, in Woodlake Market area lots, or at the Kohler Shared Services building. There is no transport provided back to the start after the race.
Support on course includes six water stations at miles 1.7, 3.4, 5.4, 7.5, 9.6, and 11.2, with Gatorade available at four of those stations. GU gels are provided at miles 5.4 and 9.6. Bathrooms are available at the start, with portable toilets at mile 6.5 and the finish, and a pit toilet near mile 8.6 (Meadowlark Trailhead). Pacers will be available for a range of target finish times. Participant amenities include a Sport-Tek tee, a local goodie bag, and post-race snacks.
