Event overview
The Old Plank Sunset Half is a half marathon held in Kohler, Wisconsin in August 2026. The race distance is 13.1 miles and it is a point-to-point course that starts at the Quit Qui Oc Sports Complex in Plymouth and finishes at the Kohler Sports Core (100 Willow Creek Dr). The route runs mostly on the paved Old Plank Trail along Highway 23, passes through some neighborhoods and by the Woodlake Market, and finishes at the Sports Core. Finish-line activities include music, food, drinks, medals and age group awards. The event is presented by the Sheboygan County Shoreline Striders Running Club.
Logistics and course details
Packet pickup is available at the Sports Core in Kohler on the days surrounding the race. Pre-race bus transport to the start is provided from the Sports Core; parking is available near the finish and at nearby lots. There is no transport provided back to the start after the race. Support on course includes six water stations (miles 1.7, 3.4, 5.4, 7.5, 9.6 and 11.2), four of which also offer Gatorade, and GU gels at miles 5.4 and 9.6. Bathrooms are at the start, porta-potties are at mile 6.5 and the finish, and a pit toilet is located near mile 8.6. Pacers will be available for a range of finish targets.
