Shannon Trail Series
The Shannon Trail Series is a three-race trail running series in San Angelo, Texas, held from January 16 to February 20, 2027. Each race takes place at a different local venue and offers short and long course options that form a single series.
Race dates and locations:
- Race 1 (January 16) at Middle Concho Park : 5K and 10K
- Race 2 (January 30) at Twin Buttes Boat Ramp : 5K and 12K
- Race 3 (February 20) at San Angelo State Park, Chaparral Pavilion : 5K and 15K
Series scoring and awards are based on the total time of all three races starting in 2027. Awards are given only after the third race; competitors must finish all three races on the same course type (short or long) to be eligible. All awards are based on gun time. Chip time may be available for reference but is not used for scoring. Finisher medals are distributed at each race at the finish line and are only given on race day.
Packet pickup details are to be determined; packet pickup is also available on race mornings with an early start. There is no virtual option. Participants may walk the course. Pets are not allowed on the course and strollers are not appropriate. Changing distance between races is permitted but makes a participant ineligible for series awards. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.
Age groups include: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99, 100+ Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
