ShamRock N Run - Waterloo
ShamRock N Run is a 5k road race held in downtown Waterloo, Iowa, on August 1, 2026. The event takes place during the Iowa Irish Fest, which is celebrating its 20th year. The race course starts near the corner of Park Ave and Mulberry St by Main Gate 1 entrance.
Registration for the ShamRock N Run 5k opens on March 17, 2026 and closes on July 31, 2026. The registration fee for the 5k is $35. Race registration does not include a weekend pass into the Iowa Irish Fest; a Fest wristband can be purchased as an add on to the 5k registration or separately. Fest wristbands for entrants age 16 and older are available as an add on for $25. Admission to the Fest is free for youth age 15 and under.
Packet pickup and walk up registration are available at the Iowa Irish Fest at Main Gate 1 the day before the race and at the event on race day. Each race registrant receives a T-shirt, snacks, water, and beer with entry. The event is organized to coincide with the festival activities in downtown Waterloo.
