Event overview
The CVSP Pump & Run is scheduled for April 25, 2026, at the Cedar Valley SportsPlex in Waterloo, Iowa (300 Jefferson St., 50701). The event is in its fourth year and includes a free public health expo on the Friday night before the race during packet pickup. The expo is intended to let the public interact with local businesses, organizations, and non-profits.
Events and entry
- 5K - entry fee $30.
- 1 Mile - entry fee $20.
- FREE Kids Run - entry fee $0; kids ages 1-12 may participate at no cost.
Entry fees for the 5K and 1 Mile increase after April 10, 2026. Kids registration closes on the event date.
Pump-N-Run format
At the health expo, participants can bench press and bicep curl a percentage of their body weight to earn a reduction in their 5K time. The event provides a 10-second reduction in 5K time for each repetition completed at the expo. Participation in the pump activities is optional; participants may race without any time reduction.
