Shamrock Beer Run & BrewFest Chicago at Busse Woods
The Shamrock Beer Run & BrewFest Chicago is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Busse Woods Grove 28 in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. The event centers on a 5K run or walk along an out and back course with craft brewery sample stations placed approximately every kilometer instead of traditional water stops.
Registration for the 5K includes a short sleeve tech shirt, entry to the BrewFest, five 3oz beer samples served at sample stations on the course, a magnetic bottle opener finisher's medal, one 16oz pint redeemable with the race bib, a souvenir beer cup, and free event photos. The sample locations on course feature a 3oz taste at the start, at 1 km, at the turnaround, at 4 km, and at the finish. A post race BrewFest follows where the bib beer ticket may be used for a pint; additional beer tickets are available during registration.
The event is restricted to ages 21 and older; no strollers, no children, and no one under 21 will be admitted. Packet pickup is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, March 12, 4:00 to 7:00 PM at City Works Pour House in Schaumburg, with race day pickup also available. Parking options include limited spaces at Busse Woods Grove 28 and additional parking near the Atrium Event Center at 3800 Golf Road. Food trucks will be on site until 1:30 PM.
