Shamrock 5k Run & Walk 2026
The Shamrock 5k Run & Walk is a community 5 kilometer event organized by the Student Academy of Audiology at West Virginia University. It takes place on March 28, 2026, at 2001 Rec Center Drive in Morgantown, West Virginia.
An estimated 37.5 million people ages 18 and over report experiencing hearing issues. Students and faculty in WVU's Communication Sciences and Disorders department conduct year-round activities to raise public awareness about hearing loss and its prevention. The Student Academy of Audiology is reviving this initiative to raise awareness and funds in support of the local community.
All proceeds will benefit the Student Academy of Audiology Student and Patient Fund. The fund is designated to assist patients with financial challenges and to support students' continuing education through conference attendance.
Registration is offered online and on-site with the following published fees: Early Bird online registration from January 27 to March 2 is $25 and includes a guaranteed T shirt; late online registration from March 3 to March 28 is $35 with no T shirt guarantee; day of event on site registration is $40 with no T shirt guarantee. Registration prices are stated as inclusive of mandatory charges, items, and fees.
