Sgt. Ruff's Color Run - Lenoir, NC
The 2nd Annual Sgt. Ruff's Color Run is scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 1050 Zacks Fork Rd, Lenoir, NC. The course uses the City of Lenoir Greenway with start and finish at the Lenoir Rotary Soccer Complex parking lot.
Race distances:
- 5K Big Dawg
- 1 mile Pup Run
Both races begin with a color party and include color stations along the out-and-back greenway. The Big Dawg course includes four color points and the Pup Run includes two. Because the greenway is fairly narrow and the course is out-and-back, avoiding color cannot be guaranteed.
Race entries receive a white Sgt. Ruff T-shirt, a bandana, sunglasses, and an individual color bomb. All finishers receive a custom dog tag medal. A VIP Big Dawg ticket includes an extra color bomb, a sticker pack, and a special edition shirt; a Family Ticket provides a group discount for four or more participants at the same address. Ages 5 and under may participate free without race items.
Pricing and registration details include Pup Run $40, Big Dawg $50, VIP Big Dawg $85. Registration opens May 13, 2026; price increases are scheduled for October 11; online registration closes November 4 and race day registration will be cash only. T-shirt size deadline is November 1.
Proceeds support Shepherds for Sheepdogs, a 501(c)(3) that purchases professionally trained service dogs for disabled veterans and first responders.
