Sgt. Nevada Krinkee Memorial 5k
The Sgt. Nevada Krinkee Memorial 5k is the third annual memorial race held on September 26, 2026 at Thorne Rider Park, 307 W. 14th St., Sheridan, Wyoming. Organizers created the event to remember a police sergeant who was killed in the line of duty in 2024 and to raise funds for causes he supported. The primary recipient of 2026 race profits is the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter.

The 5K is open to all ages and is a timed event. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is timed for youth age 12 and under; participants age 13 and up are untimed and non-competitive. Team options are available for the 5K, with individual competitors on teams still eligible for individual awards.
Award divisions for the 5K include overall male and female champions and 1st through 3rd place in age divisions for males and females. Team awards include fastest team by combined top three times and largest team. The 1 Mile offers youth awards by age with medals for youth finishers; the adult fun run is untimed.
