The Sgt. Joshua D. Desforges Walk/Run Challenge is a community road and trail event held at the Sgt. Joshua Desforges Memorial behind Ludlow High School, located at 500 Chapin St, Ludlow, MA. The event program includes two main entries: the Walk/Run Challenge and the Walk/Run Challenge Veterans, plus a separate kids race that requires no registration.
The course is described as a 3+ mile road and trail route that incorporates Marine Corps inspired obstacles and challenges. General registration is listed at $35, while students and veterans register for $25. Registered participants receive a shirt.
All proceeds support the Sgt. Joshua D. Desforges Scholarship fund. Scholarship awards go to graduating Ludlow High School seniors who are pursuing further training or work after high school.
