Settle Road Race
This UKA accredited road running event starts and finishes at Settle Swimming Pool in Giggleswick and uses out and back routes through the North Yorkshire countryside. The course is undulating and runs along public roads, passing farms and hamlets with views over Pen-Y-Gent and Ingleborough.
The event is marshalled and signed. Feed and drink stations are provided approximately every three miles; participants are encouraged to bring a reusable cup or bottle because the event aims to be cup-less. Toilets are available at the start. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and a selection of post-race treats.
Three out and back distances are offered, including:
- Half Marathon
- 10 Miles
Practical notes: registration opens on the morning of the event and participants are advised to allow time for parking and using facilities. Parking is not available at the registration area; public car parks in Settle are available. Parking on the B6480 or Stackhouse’s Lane is prohibited and subject to enforcement. In-race safety rules prohibit in-ear and over-ear headphones; bone conducting headphones are permitted. GPX files are available for route navigation. Transfers and deferrals can be managed online.
