Event
The Settle Half Marathon is a UKA accredited road race organised by Its Grim Up North Running. The event is scheduled for 22 February 2026 and starts and finishes at Settle Swimming Pool, Kendal Road, Giggleswick, Settle, BD24 0BU. Entry is open to people aged 17 and over on the event date. The listed entry fee is between £24 and £26.
Race details
The course is an out-and-back route through North Yorkshire countryside with undulating elevation and road terrain. The event is marshalled and signed. Feed and drink stations are placed about every 3 miles; the organiser aims to be cup-less, so runners are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Toilets are available at the start. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and additional treats.
Participants can download GPX files for navigation because not every corner will be marshalled. In-ear and over-ear headphones are not permitted; bone-conducting headphones are allowed. If a runner needs to withdraw they should inform the nearest marshal. Transfers and deferrals can be self-served via the event website or the booking platform used. Registration opens at 08:00 and attendees are advised to allow time for parking and use of facilities; parking is not available at registration and local car parks in Settle should be used. Parking on the B6480 or Stackhouse’s Lane is prohibited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
