Set the PACE 5K - Detroit
Set the PACE 5K includes in-person run and walk events on the Detroit Riverwalk and a separate virtual run/walk option held over several days in October. The in-person course is a timed out-and-back 5K on the riverwalk that runs through Milliken State Park and starts and finishes near the riverwalk at 1340 Atwater St, Detroit, MI 48207.
Registration for the in-person run and walk opens April 1, 2026 and closes August 14, 2026; the registration fee for the in-person events is $35. Virtual registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes August 30, 2026; the virtual entry fee is $40. Participants who register before early October will receive a t-shirt, race bib, and medal; t-shirts are not guaranteed for later registrants. Virtual participants receive a medal in their race packet.
On course logistics include one water station at the turnaround at about the 1-mile mark. Post-race refreshments include cider and donuts at the finish provided by Blake's Cider Mill. The event is non-refundable and will occur rain or shine. Organizers ask that personal pets not attend for the safety and comfort of participants and volunteers.
