Set the PACE 5K - Detroit
Set the PACE 5K takes place on October 25, 2026, at the Detroit Riverwalk, 1340 Atwater St, near Milliken State Park. The event includes an in person timed 5K run, an in person 5K walk, and a virtual 5K option held October 22 to October 25, 2026. The event supports PACE Southeast Michigan.
The in person course is an out and back 5K along the riverwalk through Milliken State Park. One water station will be available at the turnaround, at approximately the 1 mile mark. The event will proceed rain or shine and is non refundable. Participants are asked to leave personal pets at home. Awards will be given to the first place male and female finishers.
Registration opens April 1, 2026. In person registrations close August 14, 2026; virtual registration closes August 31, 2026. Registration fees are listed as $35 for the in person run and walk and $40 for the virtual entry. Participants who register by October 9, 2026, will receive a t shirt, race bib, and medal; t shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after October 9. Virtual participants receive a medal in their race packet and may complete the 5K anywhere, using an honor system for timekeeping. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
