Septemberfest 5K: September 12, 2026
Septemberfest 5K is an annual community running event in Louisa, Kentucky, held in coordination with the Lawrence County Septemberfest. The event has been held every year since 1990 and is presented as the 35th annual running.
The event program includes multiple entries:
- 5K Walk/Run (3.1 miles)
- Secret 10K Route (6.2 miles)
- Student 5K Walk/Run (3.1 miles)
- Student Secret 10K Route (6.2 miles)
- Children 5K (3.1 miles)
Registrations include general and student fees, with a reduced student fee and free registration for children under five when accompanied by an adult who is also racing. Day of registration is available with a listed student and nonstudent fee structure. Shirts are provided to registrants while supplies last. The races are not chip timed.
The 5K course follows a route through the Meadowbrooke subdivision and the race begins next to the Lawrence County Board Office adjacent to the Lawrence County High School football field. The 10K course is kept secret; participants must already know the route as organizers do not provide navigation. Both courses run on open roads where cars may be present; signs and limited traffic control will be used. Pace and time limits apply and race support cannot be guaranteed for participants slower than the posted limits. The event proceeds support the Mountain Movers Theatre Company.
