The 50th Annual Boys & Girls Club Selma Railroad Run 5K
The event is a community road race held in Selma, North Carolina, at 201 N. Webb Street on September 19, 2026. The main race distance is 5K on a flat, USATF certified road course.
Registration details in the event listing indicate an early bird fee of $25 per person through August 20, 2026, with a higher fee of $35 after that date. Registrations were opened in April 2026. A short-sleeve Railroad Run race shirt is included with registration; a guaranteed shirt size is available for participants registered before August 31, 2026. Additional information about shirts and race packet pickup will be provided before the event.
Participants may choose to be timed using a race bib; recreational non-timed participants are also accepted. Only timed participants receive an official record of their finish time. Dogs are welcome when kept on a leash at all times. A children’s Caboose Run of approximately half a mile will take place from the starting line shortly after the registered runners depart; that kids run does not require separate registration.
Awards will be given to top finishers by age and gender as well as to overall male and female winners. Age categories listed include 6-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 plus.
