Event Overview
The Selma Railroad Run 5K is a road running event in Selma, North Carolina. This edition marks the 50th annual race.
Course Details
The event features a 5K distance on a flat road course certified by USATF. The route starts and finishes at the corner of E. Waddell Street and N. Webb Street in downtown Selma.
Registration and Fees
Early bird registration is $25 per person until August 20, 2026, increasing to $35 after that date. All registrations include a short-sleeve race t-shirt, with size guaranteed for those registered before August 31, 2026.
Participation Options
Participants can choose to be timed with a race bib for an official finish time, or participate recreationally without timing. Dogs are permitted if kept on a leash. A separate 1/2 mile Kids Caboose Run is held for children, requiring no registration.
Awards
Awards are presented to the top runners in age and gender categories, as well as overall male and female winners. Age categories include 6-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
