Sekani Trail Run - Minnehaha Park, Spokane
The Sekani Trail Run is an annual trail event held in Minnehaha Park and the adjoining 125-acre Camp Sekani natural area. It offers timed trail courses on 100% dirt singletrack with views of the Spokane River and the city skyline from Beacon Hill.
Course options:
- 5K - roughly 500 feet elevation gain.
- 10K - roughly 1,000 feet elevation gain.
- Kids' 1K - free for children up to 12; registration required.
The 5K follows Esmerelda Trail up toward an aid station, then returns via Yard Sale to the start/finish. The 10K follows a longer figure-8 route that includes Wiggler, Upchuck, Will’s Traverse and Airport Escalator, with the aid station located at the center of the figure-8 and passed twice. The 5K has one aid station just past the turnaround point.
Shirts are included with registration if completed before the shirt cut-off date of September 10th. Medals are awarded to the top three males and females in both the 5K and 10K divisions. Packet pickup takes place at Perry Street Brewing with scheduled pickup times on the Friday and Saturday before the event.
The event is 100% volunteer organized and all proceeds benefit Franklin Elementary School’s APPLE Program. Entries are non-refundable in the event of unavoidable external factors that make the event impossible or unsafe. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
