Sekani Trail Run
The Sekani Trail Run takes place October 4, 2026 in Minnehaha Park and the adjacent 125-acre Camp Sekani natural area in Spokane, WA. The event is organized entirely by volunteers and directs all proceeds to Franklin Elementary School's APPLE Program. The courses use 100% dirt trails and the event has been held on dirt trails since 2009.

The 5k route climbs Esmerelda Trail to an aid station, returns via Yard Sale, and finishes on Esmerelda Trail, with roughly 500 feet of elevation gain. The 10k follows a longer loop that includes Esmerelda, Wiggler, Covid Quarantine, Disorderly Conduct, The Yard, Upchuck, Will's Traverse, and Airport Escalator as it ascends and crosses Beacon Hill, totaling about 1,000 feet of elevation gain. The 5k has one aid station located just past the halfway turnaround. The 10k uses a single aid station that runners pass twice, near mile 1.5 and again near mile 4.5.
Shirts are included with registration if completed before the shirt cut-off date of September 10. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in both the 5k and 10k divisions. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday 10/2 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturday 10/3 time is to be determined at Fleet Feet, 1315 W Summit Pkwy, Spokane, WA.
