Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run
SeaWorld San Diego presents the Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run on October 18, 2026. The event features a 3.1 mile course that passes through parts of the park and is set among Halloween decorations and themed attractions. Participants can expect themed photo moments and costumed characters appearing along the route.
All ages are welcome. A separate Kids Fun Run for children ages 12 and under covers approximately 1K and allows parents to accompany registered children. Strollers are permitted; stroller users are asked to start toward the back of the field for safety.
Every participant receives an official race shirt, a race bib with a timing chip, and a finisher medal. Results are posted live and awards are presented. The top three male and female finishers in each age division receive two admission tickets to SeaWorld San Diego. Costumes are encouraged, however masks are not permitted for this event.
The run takes place during SeaWorld’s seasonal events Howl-O-Scream and Halloween Spooktacular, so the park experience will include additional seasonal theming and activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
