Seattle Kraken 5K
The Seattle Kraken 5K presented by Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is a community 5K run/walk at Green Lake Park in Seattle. The event is hybrid: participants may join in person at Green Lake or take part virtually. Proceeds benefit the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Kraken Hockey Fights Cancer Fund.
In-person registration includes a race shirt, custom bib, finisher’s medal, free event photos, access to race day activities, and post-race snacks. In-person participants also receive up to four tickets to a Kraken pre-season game and discounted tickets to a regular season game. Virtual registrants receive the shirt, bib, medal, and shipping of event items.
Race format and support:
- 5K in-person race (3.1 miles)
- Kids Dash approximately a quarter mile
- Virtual option : any distance; 3.1 miles required for official results
The race will start in waves to reduce crowding; waves are spaced five minutes apart and include designated waves for faster runners, Season Ticket Holders, and walkers. Event hosts include Kraken personnel, the team mascot Buoy, and other special guests. Prizes will be awarded to overall top finishers in male, female, and non-binary divisions.
