The SEASAR MHM Event
The SEASAR MHM is an adventure race held in Elkwater, Cypress County, Alberta, Canada. The event takes place on May 9, 2026.
Race Formats
Two formats are offered. The SEASAR MHM Adventure Race is a 9-hour event with a dark start. Teams of two racers must reach a series of checkpoints spread around the Cypress Hills. The SEASAR MHM Lite is a shorter 4.5-hour version, designed for newcomers, families, or those wanting a taste of adventure racing. This race starts in daylight.
Disciplines and Navigation
Participants in both formats will hike, bike, paddle, and bushwhack. For the main race, navigation is done using only a map and compass. For the Lite version, using a GPS is allowed in addition to map and compass.
Practical Information
The race is connected to the Medicine Hat Massacre event. A mandatory equipment list must be reviewed by participants. Registration is fee-based, with prices that vary depending on the period. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
