Seahorse Skedaddle takes place on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Mineola Nature Preserve in Mineola, TX. The event is organized by Run Different and supports local charities; 10% of profits and 100% of donations for this event go to Encounter Church (Fate). The race does not enforce strict cut-off times and offers chip timing for distances of 5K and longer.
Race options and awards
- Kid's Dash - free; short 100–200 meter sprint; registration open until January 18, 2026.
- 1 Mile - $15; untimed event; includes shirt and finisher medal; no group awards.
- 5K - $30; price increases after November 30, 2025; chip-timed and eligible for age-group awards.
- Virtual Option - $40; registration open until January 18, 2026; shirt and medal shipped the week of the race.
Registration for the 5K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed participation shirt and an event finisher medal. The 5K is eligible for age-group awards awarded four deep in male and female divisions from 0-4 through 80+. Additional awards include Male/Female Overall, Masters (40+), and Grand Masters (60+). Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped. Volunteers receive a code for a free race entry as a thank you. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
