Event overview
The Seahorse Skedaddle takes place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at North Lakes Park, 2001 W. Windsor Rd., Denton, TX 76207. Packet pick-up and check-in are available on race day. The event is organized by Run Different and supports charitable giving.
Distances
- Kid's Dash : free; short 100–200 meter sprint.
- 5K : entry fee listed at $42.
- 1 Mile : entry fee listed at $20.
- Virtual Option : entry fee listed at $40; shirt and medal shipped.
Awards and timing
The 5K is chip-timed. Age-group awards are given four deep in male and female divisions from 0-4 through 80+. Awards are also listed for male and female overall winners, masters (40+), and grand masters (60+). Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped.
Registration items and other notes
Registration for the 5K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed participation shirt and a finisher medal; early registration is advised to guarantee shirt size. Kid's Dash participants can add a shirt and medal for purchase. Virtual participants will receive shipped shirts and medals the week of the race. The event organizer donates a portion of proceeds to Encounter Church (Fate): 10% of profits and 100% of donations. Volunteers receive a code for a free race after completing assigned tasks.
