Event

The Seagrave Wolds Challenge is the twenty first edition of an annual cross country run and walk in the Leicestershire Wolds. It takes place on Saturday 8th November 2025. The route changes each year but is typically approximately 16 miles. The course is hilly and multi-terrain, using public footpaths and sections of private land. The event is described as a personal challenge against terrain, weather conditions and distance rather than a race. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Practical information

The event is based at Seagrave War Memorial Hall, Green Lane, Seagrave, Leicestershire, LE12 7LU. The maximum number of entrants is 700 and the entry list is currently full; occasional cancellations may lead to temporary re-openings. Entries close on 03/11/2025 and transfers also close on that date. Entrants must be at least 10 years old; entrants under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. On-route food and drink stops are provided, and finish arrangements include cobs, cakes and Seagrave apple crumble. Proceeds are donated to local charities including Seagrave Village Church, Memorial Hall and School, and the Royal British Legion. Entry fees are listed by age group on the event information.
