What is the Seagrave Wolds Challenge?

The Seagrave Wolds Challenge is a 22nd edition cross-country run or walk held in November. It is not a race, but a personal challenge against terrain, weather, and distance. The route changes annually but is typically around 16 miles long. It traverses the Leicestershire Wolds countryside on footpaths and private land, with varied and hilly multi-terrain.

Event Details

The event starts and finishes at Seagrave War Memorial Hall. Food and drink stops are provided along the route. At the finish, participants are served cobs, cakes, and apple crumbles. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to accompany participants. All proceeds are donated to local charities, including Seagrave Village Church, the Memorial Hall, the local school, and the Royal British Legion.

Participation Information

The maximum number of entrants is 700. Entry closes on the 31st of October. The minimum age for participation is 10 years. Entrants under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
