Sea Lion 5K, Niagara Falls NY

The Aquarium of Niagara hosts the Sea Lion 5K on September 26, 2026 in Niagara Falls, NY. The event uses the New York State Parks trail along Niagara Gorge and runs along the Niagara River. The course is USATF certified and starts and ends at Great Lakes 360 on the Aquarium campus.

Runners, walkers, and participants with strollers are welcome. Children age six and under participate for free with a parent. Admission to the Aquarium and to Great Lakes 360 is included with registration.

Participants who register by September 10 will receive an official Sea Lion 5K t-shirt. A small number of extra shirts will be available later on a first come, first served basis.

Awards include a certificate for a free animal encounter for the overall top male and female runners. Top finishers in each age group will receive a special painting created by a sea lion.

Registration fees are listed for different age groups and registration times. A virtual race app is available for GPS tracking and verified time uploads. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
