Sea Colony Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk
The 23rd annual Sea Colony Turkey Trot is a community 5K event held at Sea Colony Fitness Center in Bethany Beach on November 29, 2026. Net proceeds benefit Special Olympics Delaware and the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company, supporting athlete training, uniforms, equipment, and fire company needs.
The event is hosted by Sea Colony Fitness Center in cooperation with the Seashore Striders and produced by Seashore Strider Event Production Inc. The course runs through the Sea Colony development. Race timing is chip based using the ChronoTrack system.
Entry fees are $30 for pre-registration through November 28 and $35 for race day registration. Mail-in entry options and payment by check are accepted; checks should be made payable to "Turkey Trot 5k." Short sleeve unisex cotton race shirts are guaranteed for entries received by the November 16 shirt order deadline; entries received after that date receive shirts on a first-come basis as available.
Race amenities include a custom race shirt, refreshments, and awards. Awards are presented to overall and masters finishers, and to the top three in five-year age groups covering 9 and under through 80 plus. There is parking available in the Sea Colony community.
