Scott Sterrett Memorial Race Weekend

The event takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The start and finish are located at 200 State Street near Urban Pie. Post-race food, drinks, vendors, and awards will be held on the River Place Plaza. Proceeds from the event will be placed into a scholarship for students who plan to pursue a career as a first responder after high school.

• 5K

Relay format and rules:

• Relay legs are 3.2 km, 4 km, 2.7 km, 3.2 km. Teams may split legs differently if fewer than four members.
• Relay exchanges occur at Falls Waterpark and Prairie Lakes Park.
• Exchanges are only allowed in exchange zones; exchanges outside zones can lead to disqualification.
• No event shuttle for relay exchanges; teams must provide their own transportation.
• Relay and Half Marathon entrants registered before October 21 will receive a performance quarter-zip.

Course and support:

• The 10K has two aid stations; the Half Marathon has seven aid stations.
• All races have a cutoff of three hours. After 10:30 a.m. runners may continue at their own risk and no official time will be given after that point.

• There are divisions for all male, all female, co-ed, 18 & under male, 18 & under female, and a First Responder traveling trophy.
• Volunteer sign-up is planned for early fall 2025; volunteers receive a shirt.
