The Scoop Into Summertime 5k is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026. It is a female-only 5K event. The starting location is 2001 W. Windsor Dr. in Denton, Texas.
Registration and Perks
Standard registration is priced at $35. The first 200 registrants receive a custom race-themed bib. The event is part of a series bundle called the Girls Who Run DFW Sweet Summertime Challenge. Signing up for the full series offers a 5% discount plus an additional $1 off the total registration. Participants who complete the challenge receive a challenge medal that contributes to a full Ice Cream Sundae.
Awards and Schedule
Awards are presented for the 5k event. Age group awards are given three deep across multiple divisions, from 0-9 up to 80+. Awards are not shipped. On race day, packet pick-up is available from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The National Anthem and announcements are at 7:45 AM, followed by the 5K start at 8:00 AM. The course closes at 10:00 AM.
Host and Volunteers
