Schuetzen NEIN! Hour Endurance Run
Schuetzen NEIN! is a time‑based trail event in Davenport, IA that challenges participants to run as many miles as they can within nine hours. The event offers solo entries and a team relay division in which teams of up to three runners take turns on the loop.
The course is a 0.85 mile natural loop through a historic German site with roughly 125 to 150 feet of elevation gain per lap. The surface is mostly dirt and chipped rock single track with stair sections and short grass segments. Aid is provided at the start and finish area and the race provides hot food, cold beverages, and a custom race shirt. The event also awards the Schuetzen Spanker to solo entrants who reach 50k and to relay teams who reach 50 miles. The race is a member of the No Coast Trail Series.
Start and finish are located at the Jens Lorenzen Pavilion off Schuetzen Lane at the southwest corner of the Good Samaritan Society property on Waverly Road. Ample parking and restroom facilities are available next to the pavilion. Registration is online only and closes June 1. Deferred entries are allowed with a deadline of May 31 and accepted deferrals roll into the following year. The event donates proceeds to Schuetzen Park and has donated close to $10,000 to the park to date. The event proceeds regardless of weather.
