About the race
The SchneebergLauf & Trail is an annual mountain running and trail event on the Schneeberg near Puchberg am Schneeberg, scheduled for Saturday, 22 May 2027. It is described as a traditional race with a fixed place in the regional mountain run and trail calendar.
The event includes several race categories and distances:
- 10 km | 1,200 hm
- 19 km | 2,000 hm
- 30 km | 2,100 hm
- 425–2,050 m (children's distances)
The 10 km mountain run is held as a Mensch gegen Maschine competition against the rack railway. The trail routes follow marked paths across the mountain and reach scenic areas of the Schneeberg. The start area for all races is in the centre of Puchberg at the Schneeberghalle. The finish for the 30 km trail and the children's races is also at the Schneeberghalle. The finish for the Raiffeisen Schneeberg-Lauf and the 19 km trail is at the Bergbahnhof Hochschneeberg. Return transfer to the valley via the Schneebergbahn is included in the entry fee and return tickets are issued at bib collection.
Bib collection takes place on the Friday and Saturday before the event at the Schneeberghalle. The event is organised as a Green Event with measures to reduce unnecessary waste and limit plastic use. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
