MN Treads Healthy Human Race
The MN Treads Healthy Human Race is an annual running event in Rochester, Minnesota, held at Soldiers Memorial Field. The event offers multiple distances on USATF certified, flat courses that run on paved trails along the Zumbro River. The event serves as the RRCA State Championship Half Marathon for Minnesota in 2026.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon
- Half Marathon two person relay
- 5K Run/Walk
Both the half marathon and 5K start and finish at Soldiers Memorial Field. Hydration stations on the half marathon are located at miles 3, 5, 6.5, 8, and 10.5; the 5K has one aid station at mile 2.75. Restrooms are available at the start/finish and at every aid station. The half marathon includes pacing support from the Mythical Mile team for a range of target times.
The two person relay is split into a 7.4 mile first leg and a 7.7 mile second leg with an exchange zone at Bamber Valley Road SW and Mayowood Trail under the road crossing. Relay timing uses a passing anklet and each team member receives an individual bib; teams arrange their own transportation to the exchange point.
Event logistics and participant policies include bag check at the start/finish, a prohibition on strollers and most wheeled gear (service animals excepted), accommodation for wheelchairs and hand cyclists who start before other runners, on course marshals and police, and post-race food and drinks. Finisher items include a custom medal and sunglasses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
