Schaumburg Turkey Trot
The Schaumburg Turkey Trot takes place in Schaumburg, IL on November 28, 2026. The event is the 18th annual Schaumburg Turkey Trot and uses paved paths and roads at Busse Woods - Ned Brown Meadow, Grove 28-30 in Elk Grove Village.
Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
- Kid's 5K and Kids Dash
The half marathon is chip timed and carries certification code IL22045NM. Course time limits are posted for the 5K and half marathon. Water stations provide water on the 5K and both water and sports drink on the half marathon. A gear check will be available on site.
Event gear options include a classic t-shirt or an upgraded thin-tec soft polyester pullover. All finishers in the half marathon, 5K and kid's 5K receive a finisher medal, and kids 8 and under in the Kid's Dash receive a finisher ribbon. Top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall will receive awards. Finisher medals that are not picked up may be mailed for a fee.
Additional details: there are half marathon pacers with a range of target finish times, off-site parking with continuous shuttle service to the course on race morning, a packet mailing option for $17, virtual run options, and a charity partner, Fetching Tails Foundation.
