The Scarecrow Scuttle takes place on October 24, 2026 at Old McDonald's Farm in Sackets Harbor, NY. The event offers road distances and a family option and is held rain or shine.

Registration for the 5K and 10K includes a T-shirt and a finisher medal. A guaranteed finisher medal is provided to the first 80 pre-registered 5K entrants and the first 20 pre-registered 10K entrants. Personalized bibs are available for those registered three weeks in advance. Results are provided live and by text or email; finish line photos are free.
Course details note no dogs allowed. The 5K and 10K routes leave the farm driveway, follow North Harbor Road, County Road 75 and Ridge Road, with turnaround points marked by cones and trail markers. The Family Fun Run may follow the 5K turnaround or use the Wizard of OZ Trail around the farm, which is unpaved and may be muddy.
Event parking is on the grass to the left of the admission building. Awards include top male and female overall and top two male and female finishers in multiple age groups. Event proceeds assist a foundation that supports people with disabilities through The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
