Scarecrow Festival Fun Run/Walk
The event is the 5th Annual family fun run and walk held in downtown Oxford on October 3, 2026, with the start and finish on Hudson Street. It offers multiple distance options for participants of different ages and includes a short youth dash for very young children.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
- 100 Yards Lil Pumpkin Dash for ages seven and younger
The course is open to traffic; participants are asked to follow pedestrian laws. The route is dog and stroller friendly; dogs must be leashed. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female in the 5K and 1 Mile events, and medals are provided to all finishers. A family discount applies when four or more registrations are completed in the same transaction, with a five dollar discount applied to each registration in that group.
Organizers plan a giveaway that is guaranteed for the first 100 registrants while supplies last. Participants are encouraged to wear fall or Halloween costumes.
