SBM Stride for Science
The SBM Stride for Science is a fundraiser event held in Chicago, Illinois. Hosted by the Society of Behavioral Medicine, the event takes place at Grant Park, specifically at the corner of E. Balbo Drive and DuSable Lake Shore Drive. This timed run and walk follows a scenic path along Lake Michigan, passing several prominent landmarks.
Participants can view sites such as the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, and Soldier Field during the event. The course is situated approximately a 10-minute walk from the Hilton Chicago. The event serves as a benefit for the Bridging the Gap Research Award, which supports postdoctoral research in behavioral medicine.

Registration includes a race bib, sunglasses, and a shirt. The event features a timed format, and top performers in male and female categories receive awards. For those staying at the nearby Hilton Chicago, staff-led groups walk over to the starting area together. Warm-up exercises are provided on-site before the activity begins.
