Sazón & Sneakers 5K
Sazón & Sneakers 5K is the second annual 5K hosted by Spanish Girls Run, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. The event is located at 1061 S Sun Dr, Lake Mary, FL 32746, and race capacity is capped at 500 participants.
Event offerings include a chip-timed 5K Run/Walk (3.1 Miles), a free kids fun run for ages 10 and under, and a virtual race option. Participants receive finisher medals and there will be community vendors and sponsor activations. The course is USATF certified and described as fast and flat. Timing will use a disposable chip attached to the back of the race bib.
Proceeds support the organization’s community programs: an annual free women’s self-defense seminar, Miles for Dignity for survivors, Meals for the Soul campaign providing meals to women in need, future scholarships for Latina women, and race fee sponsorships to help individuals run their first race.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in the listed age groups. Shirt sizes are guaranteed to participants who register early; availability is limited once sizes sell out. Packet pick-up will take place at Front Running Sports.
