Event Overview
The Sazón & Sneakers 5K is a community event hosted by the nonprofit organization Spanish Girls Run. This is the second annual edition of the race.
The event takes place at 1061 S. Sun Dr. in Lake Mary, Florida. Participation is capped at 500 registrants.
Race Events
Participants can register for several events:
- A chip-timed 5K run/walk. The course is USATF certified, described as fast and flat.
- A free kids fun run for children aged 10 and under.
- A virtual race option.
Event Details
The event includes a finisher medal for all participants and features community vendors and sponsor activations. Shirts are guaranteed for early registrants.
The event schedule includes packet pickup and registration opening at 6:45 AM, with the race starting shortly after. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in various age groups. Packet pickup before the event will occur at Front Running Sports.
The race proceeds support several initiatives by Spanish Girls Run, including a free women's self-defense seminar, the "Miles for Dignity" program supporting survivors, a "Meals for the Soul" campaign, future scholarships for Latina women, and race fee sponsorships.
