Say Her Name 5K and Family Fun Day
The Say Her Name 5K and Family Fun Day takes place on May 31, 2026 in Newark, Delaware at Glasgow Park (2275 Pulaski Hwy, Pavilion's 3 & 4). The event centers on maternal health justice and honors mothers lost to preventable maternal deaths while providing community resources and education.
Activities include an opening ceremony and memorial tribute, a warmup with music and fitness instruction, a 5K walk/run, and a Community Health and Resource Fair. The health fair features maternal health providers, wellness partners, local organizations, guest speakers, mothers' stories, a memorial candle tribute, and family-friendly activities. The day also includes recognition, raffles, and closing remarks.
Multiple registration options are available for in-person and virtual participation. In-person tiers include a free Community Walker option with entry to the 5K and the health fair; a Champion for Change tier with a commemorative 2026 event T-shirt, finisher medal, and race bib for $29.99; and a Maternal Health Advocate tier with those items plus an exclusive swag bag for $49.99. Virtual options allow supporters to complete a 5K from another location, submit results, and receive a mailed finisher medal or T-shirt and a digital finisher certificate.
