Sawmill Relay
Sawmill Relay is a trail event held in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest at Lee Canyon, Mt. Charleston, with a staging area on Sawmill Dayuse Loop A Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89166. The course uses three counterclockwise loops with approximate mileages: loop one 5.64 miles, loop two 8.2 miles, and loop three 4.3 miles. Runners may enter solo distances or participate as a relay team that completes all loops by tagging between team members; a three-loop configuration totals about 19.22 miles, and completing the course twice totals about 38.45 miles.

On-site provisions include hot coffee, chocolate, tea, and hot food options (casseroles, noodles, broth, burgers, hot dogs); vegetarian options are available. Free canned cold beer will be distributed to participants 21 or older with ID; non-runners are asked to donate $5 to the beer fund. Virtual entrants may upload results and receive a mailed medal and t-shirt; registering at least two weeks before the event is required to be guaranteed a shirt. The area elevation is around 7,500 feet and June temperatures are around 85°F/70°F. Volunteers receive $10 per hour race credit plus two additional credit hours for the drive up. If the event is canceled or postponed, entries transfer to another Triple Dare Running event; refunds are not issued. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
