Save Our Planet - Recycle 5K
The Save Our Planet - Recycle 5K is a community 5-kilometer running event on June 14, 2026, held at T.Y. Park in Hollywood, Florida. The event presents a short road course for timed running and walking over 5K.
The event uses a zero-waste approach to race swag by reusing quality items from past events. At registration, participants choose a "mystery" leftover race shirt from previous races. At the finish, each participant may select a finisher medal from a curated collection of past-event medals. These measures aim to extend the life of gear, reduce manufacturing waste, and lower per-participant costs.
Race timing is provided by Victory Sports Management using chip timing to produce official results. Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers and to individual age groups. The finish area includes music, dancing, and community activities that follow the race.
