Saundersfoot Triathlon
The Saundersfoot Triathlon is a seaside sprint triathlon held on 17 September 2027. Entry starts from £99.95 and a payment plan is available. The event takes place around the Saundersfoot seafront and uses a stadium-like transition area with spectator viewing.
The race format is a single-lap sprint with the following distances: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run.
Competitors begin with a self-seeded beach swim. Two buoys close to the shoreline mark the start and entry gate; all swimmers must pass between these buoys on the outward and return legs. The swim course is anti-clockwise with the main buoys kept on the swimmer’s left. Competitors will have time to acclimatise before the start and exit the water through the same buoys before heading up the slipway to transition.
The bike leg covers 20 km. The run is a flat 5 km out to Wisemans Bridge and back along the seafront. Competitors re-enter Saundersfoot along the Strand where spectator crowds are expected.
