SAU Farm Road Challenge
The SAU Farm Road Challenge is an annual multi-day running event held in Magnolia, Arkansas. The event takes place at the SAU Alumni Center and serves as a fundraiser for the Overcoming Adversity Scholarship, which supports student-athletes with disabilities. The schedule is divided between evening activities on Friday and morning races on Saturday.
Available distances and event formats include:
- 1/2 Mile Kids Run (for children aged 5-12)
- Glow for the Gold 4-Mile Relay (4-person team relay)
- 5K Run or Walk
- 10K Run or Walk
Participants in the 1/2 Mile Kids Run receive a medal and a drawstring backpack. Those participating in the Glow for the Gold 4-Mile Relay, where each team member completes one mile, receive a medal and a shirt. Awards for the relay are presented to the first and second-place teams, as well as the "Most Spirited Team."
Participants in the 5K and 10K events receive a shirt, a medal, and are eligible for age group awards. The organizers also announce various giveaways throughout the Friday and Saturday sessions.
