Event Overview

The SAU Farm Road Challenge is a two-day running event held at the SAU Alumni Center in Magnolia, Arkansas. It is an annual fundraiser for The Overcoming Adversity Scholarship, which provides support to Southern Arkansas University (SAU) student-athletes with disabilities. The event was founded in 2022 by former SAU cross country and track and field athletes.

Available Events

The event schedule includes several distances for different age groups:

  • 1/2 Mile Kids Run for children aged 5 to 12 years.
  • Glow for the Gold 4-Mile Relay, a team event for four participants.
  • 5K Run or Walk.
  • 10K Run or Walk.

Participant Information

Participants in the kids' run receive a medal and a drawstring backpack. Those in the Friday night relay receive a medal and a shirt, with awards for the 1st place team, 2nd place team, and "Most Spirited Team." Participants in the Saturday runs receive a shirt, a medal, and are eligible for age group awards. Giveaways are announced during both days of the event.
