Event overview
The SAU Farm Road Challenge takes place Friday, March 6 to Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the SAU Alumni Center in Magnolia, Arkansas (1 Butler Circle). The event raises funds for The Overcoming Adversity Scholarship, which supports SAU student-athletes with disabilities. The scholarship began in 2022 and was founded by SAU alumni who competed in cross country and track and field. Packet pickup is offered on both days at the SAU Alumni Center. Giveaways are scheduled during the Friday and Saturday activities.
Events and awards
- 1/2 Mile Kids Run (ages 5 - 12)
- 4-Mile Glow for the Gold Relay - 4-person relay, each runs 1 mile
- 5K Run or Walk
- 10K Run or Walk
Kids in the half-mile run receive a medal and a drawstring backpack. Relay participants receive a medal and a shirt. Awards for the Glow for the Gold relay include first place, second place, and Most Spirited Team. General participants receive a shirt, a medal, and age group awards. Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses, organizations, and individuals. Prices and registration details are listed per event, with fees increasing after February 1, 2026.
