The Snow Globe Gallop Bobble Hat Run, Staines upon Thames
Saturn Running stages the Snow Globe Gallop Bobble Hat Run on 12 December 2026 at The Last Hop, Unit 2, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, Staines, TW18 4SU. The event is organised as a seven hour Time Challenge that lets participants choose how far to run within the allotted time.
A lap measures 7 km (4.37 miles) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The minimum official finisher distance is 3 km; there are 3 km and 5 km turn points within the lap to support younger runners and compliance with UK Athletics distance rules. Typical lap counts noted are 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon and 7 or more for an ultra; a 50 km option is available.
The course follows a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed and is mainly well made paths and tarmac with a short grass section. Road shoes are suitable. The organiser may adjust the regular course after a health and safety review.
Finishers completing at least 3 km receive a themed medal and a bobble hat. Distance pins are awarded for half-marathon distance and above and are attached to the medal ribbon. Finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option available. Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start and finish of each lap, and venue toilets and changing facilities are available. Car parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park in Staines. A non-secure bag drop is offered. Headphones are allowed and participants are asked to be considerate of other path users. Final race day instructions are sent by email in the week before the event and race numbers are collected on the day at registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
