Will Run For Ice Cream 2026
Saturn Running stages Will Run For Ice Cream 2026 as a 7 hour Time Challenge at The Last Hop, on a riverside course in Staines alongside the River Thames. The format lets participants control how many laps they complete within the event time. Membership offers a reduced entry price of £10 and guarantees entry plus a mini pin for members.
The event includes multiple distance options:
- Minimum distance: 3 km, which is part of a lap
- Full lap: 4.37 miles (7 km); may change to a 3.28 mile loop
- 3 laps equals a half marathon, 6 laps a marathon, 7 or more laps an ultra
- A 50 km distance is also available
The course is fully signed and mainly on well made paths and tarmac, with a short grass section; road shoes are suitable year round. A 3 km and a 5 km turn point are provided within the lap to support UK Athletics age restrictions.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive an ice cream themed medal. Distance pins are issued for half marathon and longer distances and are attached to the medal ribbon. All finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is offered.
Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start and finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Toilets are available at The Last Hop but there are no separate changing rooms or showers. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park in Staines. Number pick up is on the day at race registration and final race day instructions are sent by email in the week before the event. A non secure bag drop is available and headphones are permitted. The route uses public footpaths so participants should be considerate of other path users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
