Event overview
The New Years Day Run is an in-person event organised by Saturn Running at The Last Hop, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, Staines, TW18 4SU on 1 January 2026. The event is run as a 7-hour Time Challenge that lets participants choose how far to run, with a minimum distance of 3 km. Walkers are welcome and the course includes 3 km and 5 km turn points to help comply with UK Athletics age rules. Membership offers a guaranteed entry option and a small medal pin for members.

Course and facilities
The route runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Surfaces are mainly well made paths and tarmac with a short grass section; road shoes are suitable. A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles (about 7 km), though the loop may change to 3.28 miles depending on course conditions. Toilets and changing facilities are provided at the venue HQ. There is a bag drop that is not secure. Bridge Street Car Park in Staines, TW18 4TP is listed for parking.
Support and finish items
Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start/finish of each lap with snacks and vegan options. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal; distance pins are available for half-marathon distance and above. Headphones are allowed.
